Maidenhead Rowing Club’s Jack Beaumont led the way, striking double gold amid fierce competition from 3,000 competitors.

Beaumont, 13, dominated the J14 category rowing a superb 1,777m in four minutes to finish 14 metres ahead of second-place.

Not satisfied with one gold, Beaumont collected a second by helping a composite Maidenhead, Llandaff and Trentham RC team win the 3,000m J14   relay event.

Maidenhead’s Gabby Watson finished fifth in the J15 girls and Ally Brooks finished fourth in the J18 girls lightweight.

Other Maidenhead RC results included Emily Beaumont finishing ninth in the girls J12, Francesca Lovely coming seventh in girls  J16 and Carmel Bevan, 17th.

In the girls J18  Sophie Delaney was  12th, Aimee Broadbent 22nd and Aimee Campbell finished 30th.

Elsewhere, Marlow Rowing Club’s Zac Purchase took silver in the men’s open lightweight category finishing seven seconds behind Leander’s Mark Hunter in a time of 6mins 19.40secs.

In the men’s age 30-34 heavyweight category, Marlow’s Richard Ainley took silver in a time of 6.08.40 while in the women’s section, colleague Naomi Riches took gold in the LTA Open second in 7.28.10.

Great Marlow School’s Alex Matthew took gold in the boys J13 event.

David Aldridge of White Waltham won the men’s lightweight 55-59 category at the British Indoor Rowing Championships.
