12:00am Thu 25th Oct 07

On the Saturday all three Maidenhead athletes performed exceptionally well to qualify on the rowing machine.
Ally Brooks and Natalie Trinder set new personal bests at 7mins 32secs and 7.39 respectively.
Vicky Sims did well to come close to her personal best and met the qualifying time of 7.30 as all three went through to the single sculling race.
On the Sunday, in perfect sunny conditions, the top performance came from Brooks who won the under 23 lightweight division in 21.35, an excellent first trial at senior level.

Other Maidenhead RC athletes competing for their universities included: Carl Delaney (Nottingham) fourth in the under 23 lightweight in 19.26, David Jones sixth in the same category in 19.33, Louise Entwistle (London) 14th in the under 23 heavyweight women in 21.50 and Laurian Pepper (Loughborough) seventh in under 23 lightweight in 22.27.
