Gould not concerned with departures

2:00pm Thu 17th Jun 10:: written by Charles Watts

Burnham chairman Ian Gould says he is not worried about players leaving the Gore during the summer.

The Blues chief was responding to news that midfielder Paul Coyne was interested in a possible move to rivals Slough Town.

Burnham have already lost Stuart Swift to the Rebels and this week Will Dunlop moved to Windsor & Eton. Striker Denis Fenemore has also decided to move on, agreeing to a move to Hemel Hempstead.

But despite the departures Gould insists all he is focused on is building on what was a very successful first season at the club.

He said: “Paul Coyne is a free agent, if Paul wants to go he can. It happens at every level in football.

“All I’m focused on is trying to get the club going forward. We’ve only been in charge 10 months  and people have already seen drastic changes at the club.

“I think at the end of the season Burnham Football Club was a pretty happy place to be.”
