Magpies too strong for Chesham

5:28pm Wed 25th Nov 09

GOALS from Kieron St Aime, Will Hendry and Alex Wall earned Maidenhead a comfortable 3-0 success over Chesham United in the Berks and Bucks Senior Cup on Tuesday night.

It was a dominant display from the Magpies who were rarely threatened buy the Zamerotto Midlands Division opponents.

However, the visitors did have the ball in the net on 18 minutes but Adam Parker’s strike was ruled out for offside.

That scare aside it was all the Magpies and they went in front on 25 minutes when St Aime grabbed his third goal in as many games.

The big striker fired home from close range after Wall’s initial effort had been parried by the Chesham goalkeeper Richard Hayward.

Midfielder Hendry doubled the home side’s lead just before the break with a fine individual strike on what could be his last ever appearance in a Magpies shirt.

Chesham struggled for any real possession after the interval and Hayward had to be at his very best to keep out efforts from Wall and Daniel Brown.

But Hayward could do nothing about Maidenhead’s final goal of the night in stoppage time.

Wall, who was given his chance from the start, fired home from distance to wrap things up in style.

Maidenhead: Tardif, Bradshaw (Jones), Fyfield, Hendry, Nisbet, Saroya, Brown, Behzadi, Wall, St Aimie (Barney), Collins.
