Jarvis still waiting for his budget

Jamie Jarvis has his hands tied at present.
The new Burnham FC manager wants to assemble his squad at The Gore before pre-season gets underway on July 4.
However, with Ian Gould – the man heading up the consortium due to take over Burnham – umpiring the World Twenty20, Jarvis has been unable to hold discussions about his budget for the season.
But now that Gould has finished his umpiring duties he is ready to complete the takeover and will meet Jarvis next week to clarify finances.
“I’m still waiting on Ian to sit down and discuss it with the consortium,” said former Beaconsfield Sycob manager Jarvis.
“I’m just chatting to players but can’t do much at the moment.
“Everybody’s got their budgets and I haven’t got mine yet.”
As soon as he replaced Carl Taylor in the Burnham hotseat, Jarvis revealed he would bring most of the Beaconsfield squad with him, meaning uncertain futures for those already at The Gore.
Indeed, many players such as Ben Hudell, Richard Witt, Jordan Dowdican, Chico Ramos, Glenn Harris and Adam Theophanides have disappeared from the squad list on the club’s official website.
“I’ve got the core of my squad,” said Jarvis, “but I need to add a few more.”
He added: “I think a few are leaving and I need to chat to them about it this week and see them at pre-season.
“They are all more than welcome to come to pre-season and try out for a place in the squad.”

- Sounds like Jarvis is getting his excuses in early. Bleeting already before a ball is kicked. Steve Spencer's interviews with him always seem to be biased. A bit of balance would be nice.
