Slough Town FC have signed yet another former Hemel Hempstead player as manager Steve Bateman continues to flick through his bulging contacts book.

Signing yesterday (Tuesday) was Jon Stevenson, a central midfielder from Harlow Town who used to play for Hemel under the leadership of Bateman.

"Jon is a 6`3" central midfielder who joins us from Harlow Town," Bateman told the club's website.

"Jon has played for me at Hemel Hempstead Town previously and will give us some height and strength in the middle of the park.

"Jon can also play anywhere down the the middle, up top or at the back when needed so gives us versatility as well.

Stevenson's CV includes time at St Albans City, Hitchin Town, Boreham Wood and the now defunct Enfield FC.

HeĀ  joins new recruits Ian Brown, Steve Jackman, Chris Herron, Garry Sippetts and Paul Edgeworth and last seasons remaining squad when pre-season training starts next week.
