Aylesbury win inaugural Slough Tournament

Aylesbury Hockey Club were the winners of the inaugural Slough HC Badgers Tournament, involving teams composed of a mix of older and young players.

Aylesbury won the event, winning in style and scoring some great goals.

They were a well organised team and their speed of play impressed on the day.

Slough’s two teams put in great performances with some young players having their first outing in a tournament.

Slough B finished second and Slough A fourth. 

Surjit Sandhu, Slough HC chairman, thanked all the teams, supporters, Bal Nijjer (for donating the trophies) and Inder Poonaji (for organising the day).

The trophies were presented by Nijjer, who congratulated the teams and was impressed with the level and spirit in which the tournament was played.

The winning Aylesbury coach thanked Slough HC and said it was a tough tournament played in a competitive sprit but within an environment of fair play.
