REVIEW: Elves and the Shoemaker at Norden Farm

I have to admit that I didn’t have any young children with me, just my teenage daughters, but I really enjoyed the Elves and the Shoemaker at Norden Farm on Sunday. The performance was as heart-warming and light-hearted as it should be — with  a good dollop of slapstick fun.

The row of children in front of me (some wearing elf hats, some eating elf biscuits which were available to buy prior to the performance) were enthralled by the little green elf puppets, the shiny dancing shoes, the flying shoes and the shoes made from a loaf of bread were marvellous!

The two actors from the Stuff and Nonsense Theatre Company who performed had infectious energy and kept me smiling from start to finish. They are at Norden Farm, Maidenhead from now until Friday, December 30.

Suitable for ages 3+ years. The running time is 60 minutes.
