Eight men charged with child sex offences as part of Operation Royce

Police have charged eight men with a range of sex offences, including causing child prostitution and making child pornography.

Thames Valley Police carried out the first arrest in November 2014 and the others last year as part of Operation Royce, but were only able to charge the suspects this week.

Two of the men are from Flackwell Heath, one is from Maidenhead and another man is from Wooburn Green.

The investigation was started in 2014.

All offences are alleged to have taken place between 2008 and 2015 and relate to one victim.

The charges in full:

Stephen McMillan, 26, of Viridian Square, Aylesbury, was arrested on November 3, 2014. He was charged on Monday (April 18) with one count of causing/inciting a child aged 13-17 to prostitution/pornography, one count of making an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child, one count of distributing an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child, and one count of possession of an extreme pornographic image portraying an act of intercourse/oral sex with a dead/alive animal.

Nemanja Meletic, 24, of Mount Pleasant Road, London, was arrested on February 10 last year. He was charged on Tuesday (April 19) with one count of causing/inciting a child aged 13-17 to prostitution/pornography, and six counts of making an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child.

Steven Douglas, 21, of Fennels Way, Flackwell Heath, was arrested on February 10 last year. He was charged on Tuesday (April 19) with two counts of offender 18 or over engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15.

Charlie Merefield, 20, of Rosebery Avenue, High Wycombe, was arrested on February 10 last year. He was charged on Tuesday (April 19) with three counts of offender 18 or over engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15.

Alex Foale, 20, of Green Dragon Lane, Flackwell Heath, was arrested on February 12 last year. He was charged yesterday (Wednesday) (April 20) with two counts of being an offender 18 or over engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15.

Nathan Tilly, 23, of Boddington Road, Wendover, was arrested on February 10 last year. He was charged yesterday (Wednesday) (April 20) with two counts of being an offender 18 or over engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15.

Ryan Squire, 22, of Coaters Lane, Wooburn Green, was arrested on February 10 last year. He was charged yesterday (Wednesday) (April 20) with three counts of being an offender 18 or over engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15.

Ryan Henry, 22, of Blackamoor Lane, Maidenhead, was arrested on February 10 last year. He was charged yesterday (Wednesday) (April 20) with two counts of being an offender 18 or over engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15, one count of taking an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child, one count of causing/inciting a child 13 - 17 to prostitution/pornography, and two counts of making an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child.

All the men have been released on bail and will appear at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, June 7.

Seven other men arrested in connection with the investigation have been released without charge.
