Great British Bake Off star Mary Berry is due to flip the switch on Marlow’s Christmas lights on Thursday.
The TV judge is due to start the evening at Marlow Bookshop, in Spittal Street, where she will be signing books at a ticket-only event from 4.45-5.30pm.
She is then due to press the button for the town’s illuminations from the top of a double-decker bus outside the Chequers pub in the High Street at 5.30pm.
Entertainment will also be provided by the Marlow Choral Society, Marlow FM and others.
Shops will also be open late and a snow machine will be adding to the festive atmosphere.
Berry was a judge on the hugely-successful Bake Off for seven series, before quitting the show this year after it was announced it was moving from the BBC to Channel 4.
She has also presented shows including Mary Berry Cooks and Mary Berry's Absolute Favourites.
The event will come too early for the reopening of Marlow Bridge, which is scheduled, weather permitting, for Friday, November 25.
