A pair of teenage boys were chased by a group of men carrying baseball bats and machetes in Marlow yesterday.
The boys, aged 15 and 16, were walking along Glade Road with two girls at about 7pm when a green Bentley with a beige roof and two men inside pulled up alongside .
The men spoke to the girls and the car continued to drive up and down the road while the group were walking towards the Marlow Donkey pub.
The teenage boys went over to speak to the men in the car while the girls walked away and the car drove off.
It returned several minutes later accompanied by a blue 4x4 and a red Audi.
A number of men carrying baseball bats and machetes then got out of the 4x4 and Audi and ran after the victims before getting back into their cars and driving away.
The boys escaped and were not injured.
The men are described as Asian, aged between 18 and 35, and were wearing casual clothing a tracksuits.
The two men in the Bentley were smartly dressed in grey suits and were Asian.
Investigating officer PC Jessica Martin, from High Wycombe police station, said: “Officers are investigating this incident and I would like to appeal to anyone with any information which could be relevant to contact police.
“Patrols have been taking place in the area and members of the public may notice officers in the area conducting enquiries. If anyone has any concerns they can approach a member of the neighbourhood team in the area or call 101.”
