Travellers have moved into Pinkneys Green, on land behind Pinkneys Green Cricket Club.
The group, which is made up of at least seven caravans and also apparently has several horses or ponies with it, is believed to have arrived at about 4.45pm last night (Friday) (June 24).
Police and the Royal Borough have been informed, as has the National Trust, which owns the site behind the Pinkneys Drive Club.
Ken Barnard, a member of the club, said since the first caravans had arrived there had been frequent movement on and off the land, but added so far they had ‘kept themselves to themselves’ and hadn’t tried to access the club.
