A pre-school is ‘over the moon’ with its latest Ofsted report which saw its rating improve to good.
Following an inspection on Friday, April 29, Poundfield Pre-school, which is based in The Community Hall, in Radcot Close, improved on the classification of satisfactory it received in its last assessment, in September 2013.
Speaking about the outcome, Sue North, one of the school’s supervisors, said: “We’re really pleased and absolutely over the moon with the result – it’s great to have a good Ofsted result back and all the parents are really pleased with it too.
“To get there we’ve included a lot more maths and we’ve improved our record keeping too and we’ve all worked hard as a team to get there.”
Staff at the school were praised for their ability to identify pupils in need of extra support, although the report also said that parents were not always kept up to date with their children’s progress.
