This Sunday will see 3,000 yellow ducks drifting down the Thames for the annual duck derby.

The Lions Club of Maidenhead’s family fun day will take place on Ray Mill Island and will include the highly anticipated duck race at 4.30pm.

Tickets for the race will be on sale from today (Friday) at Nicholsons Walk and in the High Street tomorrow and Saturday. They can also be purchased on the day.

There is a prize of £250 for the winning duck and £100 and £50 for second and third. The event will also include fairground attractions, 40-plus stalls, and the Lions’ fun train which will give rides around the island.

The event will run from 1-5pm.
