Cllr Simon Dudley has announced he is to become the next leader of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

The current deputy leader of the council tweeted last night to say he was 'incredibly proud' to be elected as leader by the Royal Borough's Conservative group.

The Maidenhead Riverside councillor will replace Cllr David Burbage, who announced he was stepping down as council leader after nine years in the role last month.
