More than £1,500 has been fundraised for Alexander Devine by Maidenhead Rugby Club this season
The club has been collecting at matches after it announced Devine as its chosen charity in February.
At the last home game of the season against High Wycombe more than £230 was raised.
The club has also put out collection boxes in the bar which have contributed towards the total amount.
The club is now planning a black-tie dinner in aid of the charity which will take place on Friday, September 16.
