Second chance to sign up for Timbertown

A second enrolment date has been announced for the return of Timbertown.

The first enrolment date was held at Newlands Girls' School recently.

Children aged six to 11 can be signed up for the popular annual event at Maidenhead Sailing Club in Lakeside, off Summerleaze Road, on Saturday, August 11 between 9-11am.

Children can be enrolled by a parent or guardian or another adult on their behalf, but enrolment is only possible in person and will be on a first-come-first-served basis.

Timbertown itself is set to take place on August 25-28 at Town Moor off Blackamoor Lane and it costs £25 per child for the four days.

The unique event has been running since 1984 and involves building and painting huts, team games, sports, competitions, an outdoor party and a great big bonfire at the end.

This year it will have a sports theme.

Visit www.timbertown.org.uk for details.
