The former Hawkin's Bazaar employees, who have been friends for more than 12 years, said they decided to go into business together about two years ago.
Katy, of Woodlands Park Road, said: "When we saw this place come onto the market we knew we wanted to get it to start out own tearoom.
"We're hoping this will become a place where people will come and spend an afternoon chatting and relaxing over tea and homemade treats."
The 32-year-old added the duo love the 1940s era and have used its influences to decorate the shop with polka dot tablecloths, homemade bunting and knitted tea cosies.
She said: "We think it's really special and unique."
