The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead's leader says Tom and Catherine Bursnall have made a 'mistake' by leaving the Conservative Party.

 

Cllr Tom Bursnall (Clewer East) and Cllr Catherine Bursnall (Castle Without defected to the UK Independence Party (UKIP) on Wednesday.

 

Cllr David Burbage, said he was 'sorry' they had decided to leave and he thought it was a 'mistake', which he hopes in time will be recognised.

Cllr Tom Bursnall, chairman of the Royal Borough's Windsor town forum has been stripped of his role as the council's deputy lead for Windsor, and replaced by Cllr James Evans (Con, Clewer South).
