Sex and assault crimes reported in schools

More than 150 crimes were reported in Windsor and Maidenhead schools last year - including a sexual assault on a young boy and a mugging.

About two thirds of the crimes reported in the Windsor and Maidenhead were thefts, with burglary and vandalism the most common after.

Police have formally charged four out of the 154 crimes reported.

Safer Schools partnership officer PC Graham Slater said this number could be reflective of the 'more restorative' approach used to deal with less serious playground offences.
