A driver who suffered life-threatening injuries in a serious crash on the M4 on Saturday is now in a stable condition.
The 31-year-old man, who was driving a light blue Ford Mondeo, was taken to Wexham Park Hospital in Slough by ambulance after crashing with a silver Lexus 220d at about 4pm.
Drivers on the westbound carriageway experienced delays of about 50 minutes between junctions seven and eight after one lane was closed.
A 45-year-old man from Slough has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and released on bail. He will return to Loddon Valley Police Station on April 25.
Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses.
