A pay-by-phone system for on-street and off-street parking in Maidenhead and Windsor could be in place by July if given the nod by the cabinet tomorrow.
Provision for residents to pay for parking via the Royal Borough's website and using mobile technology are due for discussion at Windsor Guildhall.
Cabinet members are recommended to give officers the authority to introduce the schemes in consultation with cabinet member for highways, transport and environment Cllr Phill Bicknell (Con, Park).
The pay-by-phone system, which has been trialled in car parks including Stafferton Way multi-storey, allows customers to pay for the duration of their stay or purchase an open-ended ticket to be paid for when they leave.
Findings of a parking survey undertaken across the Royal Borough last year have also been summarised for the cabinet.See next week's Advertiser for a full report from the meeting.
