A teenager has been charged over a daylight attack in the reception of a riverside hotel in Maidenhead.
The 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is alleged to be one of up to 10 people who chased a man into the Thames Hotel on Tuesday and assaulted him.
The teenager was arrested on Thursday and was charged on Friday with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at a youth court on February 7.
The attack happened shortly after midday, not midnight as previously stated.

The crash, which took place at about 7am today (Thursday), involved three vehicles. One man sadly died as a result of the collision and his next of kin have been informed.
