A hotel along the River Thames in Maidenhead was the scene of a gang attack in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Police said, via the community messaging service, that a group of up to 10 people chased a man from Blackamoor Park into the Thames Hotel in Ray Mead Road, and assaulted him in the reception area.
The attack is said to have happened just after midnight and is being treated as GBH with intent.
The group reportedly went from Blackamoor Lane down Ray Park Road. Following the assault they went either towards Boulters Lock or the Texaco Garage on the A4 Bath Road.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
