A prolific traveller is set to join an exclusive club for adventurers who have visited more than a 100 countries.
Jeremy Burton, 69, who has traded with headhunters and eaten fertilised duck eggs on his travels, will reach the milestone when he crosses into Honduras from Nicaragua in the next few months.
The grandfather-of-two from Shurlock Row, Waltham St Lawrence, has gone through seven passports and 117 airlines and lost his luggage 33 times in his quest to join the Travellers' Century Club (TCC).
He has encountered junta generals in Burma, nearly drowned in Thailand and traded with Dayak tribes in Borneo - otherwise known as a 'reformed' headhunting tribe.
