A section of Broadway in Maidenhead town centre remains closed today after roof tiles fell from a building yesterday morning.
A police cordon is in place next to Noctors pub, between the junction with Queen Street and the Grove Road car park exit.
The tiles and debris which can be seen scattered across the road are now believed to have fallen from the roof of estate agents Atkinson and Keene.
A spokeswoman for the Royal Borough said surveying the damaged roof would be the responsibility of the landlord and that yesterday it had been too dangerous to do so.
She added the council is monitoring the situation and the road will not be reopened until it is deemed safe to do so.
