A veterinary surgery in Maidenhead has issued a warning to owners after a 'deliberately mutilated' dead cat was brought in.
The Pines Veterinary Clinic, in Bath Road, put a post on its Facebook page today to say a cat had been brought in to the surgery in 'a very bad state' after being left in an alleyway.
It said the police and RSPCA have been informed and are investigating the case, but warned owners to keep their cats inside at night.
The clinic said it was unable to give out information regarding the injuries or a description of the cat but urged anyone who has a missing cat and is concerned to call 01628 776699.
