5.) Burnham FC part company with first team manager Dave Tuttle

Burnham have parted company with first team manager Dave Tuttle after four straight defeats left the club bottom of the Hellenic Premier Division.

Football development manager Luther Blissett and Paul Toms will take temporary charge of the first team while the club recruits a new manager.


4.) Maidenhead's Kate Richardson-Walsh carries GB flag at Olympics closing ceremony

Maidenhead’s Kate Richardson-Walsh flew the flag for Team GB's record-breaking Olympians after being chosen as her country’s flag-bearer for the closing ceremony at Rio 2016. 

Richardson-Walsh, a four-time Olympian, captained the unbeaten women’s hockey side to their first ever gold medal, following Friday night’s shoot-out win over reigning champions the Netherlands.


3.) Parish council split over move to take 'green triangle' out of greenbelt

Passions rose at Bray Parish Council as members agreed the ‘green triangle’ site should not be used as a ‘bargaining chip’ in the borough local plan.

The site, which is between the M4, A308 and A330, has been earmarked as an employment site, and will be defined as an industrial area in the draft version of the plan.


2.) Rogue cow causes havoc on A404

The antics of a rogue cow left traffic unable to moo-ve on the A404 last night.

In udderly unbelievable scenes, police hoofed it over to the dual carriage way, near Bisham, shortly after 9pm to try and catch the cow.


1.) First phases of Chapel Arches development edge closer to completion

The regeneration of Maidenhead is continuing to take shape, with the first two phases of Shanly Homes’s Chapel Arches development due for completion this autumn.

The scheme forms a major part of the Maidenhead Waterways project, which is in turn being heavily promoted as a feature of the apartments.
