Car overturns outside pub in Burnham

A car overturned outside the Feathers Pub in Burnham this afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the scene at around 12.15pm after a Renault Clio hit a grass verge, ‘wiped out a telegraph pole’ and then flipped on it side.

One engine from Maidenhead and one from Slough attended the scene and the driver and passenger were treated by the ambulance service.

Station manager Andrew Fookes said: "A car had come off the road and hit the grass before wiping out a telephone pole. It must have flipped over. They got themselves out by the time we arrived and the ambulance service were checking them out.”
