Thunderbirds charity ball pays tribute to Sylvia Anderson

A ball in aid of Breast Cancer Care paid tribute to Thunderbirds creator Sylvia Anderson in London on Friday, May 6.

The Pink FAB Ball was attended by celebrities Thomas Brodie-Sangstar from Game of Thrones and Leighton Jones from The Voice performed.

Tributes were paid to Bray resident Sylvia Anderson who passed away at the age of 88 in March.

The evening was hosted by Barry Cryer who wrote a moving tribute poem to his friend.

Belinda Kassinen from Star Eventure Characters provided Thunderbirds characters at the event.

She said: “We got invited along because I sent Sylvia Anderson a picture of our characters for the 50th anniversary of Thunderbirds and she said she enjoyed the characters and asked if we could provide entertainment for the ball back in September.”

“The ball was absolutely lovely, a great evening.”
