Victory for Sikhs as ''hate blog' is shut down

A malicious blog which urged Muslim men to seduce young Sikh women and humiliate them by publishing obscene profiles of them on the internet has been shut down.

The website - www.sikh4aweek.blogspot.com – was suspended on Thursday after disgusted members of Slough’s Sikh community mounted a campaign to close it down.

The blog, which contained pictures of 25 young women, called on Muslim ‘soldiers’ from Chalvey and other UK towns to ‘hunt’ down on unsuspecting Sikh university students during freshers week.

The profile of the website author shows a man standing with a machine gun. He called himself 786 Don and boasted that the police 'can’t stop him' because what he is doing is ‘legal.’

Jagdeesh Singh, a prominent human rights activist and co-founder of Slough Sikh Community Action Network, co-ordinated the campaign the get the site shutdown.

Muslim groups from across the UK have also expressed disgust at the website and Slough Racial Equality Council was among the organisations which wrote to Google demanding the site be taken down.

Congratulations on shutting of hate blog, i appreciate the alertness and action on part of Jagdeesh singh, the whole act is deplorable, projecting indecent and obscene profiles of any female should be condemned it is perversion and nothing else,We should support such actions against females of any community or faith,all the bestadv jatinderpal singh uppal

well done jagdeesh who was succesful in getting this blog shut down. On seeing this site, I felt dusgusted at the evil nature of some people and felt almost vulnerable to being attacked in this way. no female should have to live in worry in having their identity slashed and destroyed by a small group of people, who actually feel that this is entertainment. What goes around comes back around. anon
