TALE OF TERROR: Dad caught up in Pakistan bomb attack

A father-of-four has spoken about his brush with death when he was involved in one of the worst terrorist atrocities ever to hit Pakistan.

Tariq Majeed, from Braywick Road, was staying in Islamabad's Marriott Hotel last month when it was targeted by terrorists driving a 600kg truck bomb.

Mr Majeed, 40, escaped with minor injuries, but 54 others died and hundreds were maimed in the explosion, which created a 20ft-deep crater and destroyed the entire front section of the 315-room complex.

The software company consultant said: "I thought I was gone."
