Teen charged with theft after woman's handbag is snatched

A teenager has been charged with theft after a woman had her handbag snatched from her grasp by four cyclists in Burnham.

The afternoon attack happened as a 38-year-old woman was walking from Opendale Road to St Peter's Close on August 25.

Police recovered items in Pink Lane before arresting two boys and two men.

Sgt Pete Collett, of Burnham's neighbourhood police team, said: "This case highlights the importance of neighbourhood police officers in the community. The team are continuously conducting patrols and are dedicated to tackling crime and quality of life issues in Burnham."

Shaun Herring, 18, of Furlong Drive in Britwell, will appear at Wycombe Magistrates' Court on September 10.
