Woman robbed by knife-wielding teenager

A knife-wielding teenager threatened a woman and stole her handbag before riding off with another teenager on a bike.

the 30-year-old victim was walking near Londis in Willoughby Road at 2pm on Friday when she was approached by two boys.

One of them threatened the woman with a knife and stole her handbag before riding off with the other boy on the bicycle.

The woman was shaken but not hurt.
Her bag, which is yellow and fluffy with tassels on, contained cash, a Samsung mobile phone, a wallet and a ring.

Police have released a description of the boys, who are said to be aged about 14-15 and of a small build.

The boy on foot is white, 5ft 3ins and spoke with a local accent. He was wearing a multi-coloured cap, a white shirt and jeans.

The boy on the bike is Asian, slightly taller than the other boy and has short dark hair. He was wearing an Adidas jumper with white stripes down the arms.

Police are asking any witnesses to call  08458 505505.
