Here is the pick of events for you to enjoy if you fancy a day out this weekend.
The Hindu Society of Maidenhead will be joined by the Mayor of Windsor and Maidenhead, Cllr Dorothy Kemp, for its third anniversary celebrations on Sunday.
Events begin at 10.30am at The Tippet Hall, St. Piran's School, Gringer Hill, with a religious ceremony and prayers, followed by children's activities and a delicious lunch to finish.
Enjoy the lakeside atmosphere as top quality rowing crews from across the country descend on Dorney Lake on Saturday (August 9).
Billed as one of the most important 'social and sporting occasions for the East Thames Valley' the Maidenhead Regatta is expecting to attract hundreds of people.
The event, which was founded in 1893 but moved to Dorney last year, is organised by Maidenhead Rowing Club.
Join a wander around Ockwells Park in Cox Green on Sunday from 2-3.30pm.
The free of charge event will be led by Royal Borough senior countryside ranger Trevor Smith.
Participants shoud meet beside the pavilion in the car park off Ockwells Road. Call 01628 777440 for more details.
Sailors will be gracing the River Thames during the Wargrave and Shiplake Regatta this weekend.
Taking place on Friday and Saturday, races were due to start at 9.30am on both days with a prize-giving ceremony at 6.30pm on Saturday.
Crooner Billy De Laine is to provide the entertainment at an open day for the Royal British Legion in Flackwell Heath on Sunday.
Everyone is welcome to attend the summer barbecue and beer festival, which is due to take place at the club in Common Road at 11am.
Beautiful hand crafted artwork will be on sale at Marlow Craft Show on Saturday.
It will be held in All Saints Church Hall in the Causeway from 10am-4pm.
Famous footballers will be riding motorcycles to Cookham on Sunday as they finish a sponsored ride that is in association with Harley-Davidson UK. The ride which starts in London will finish at the Inn on the Green Hotel on The Old Cricket Common in Cookham, and the riders are expected to arrive about 1pm. The event has been organised by England and Chelsea footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips, and a handful of celebrities will join him on the mission before enjoying a barbeque in Cookham.
A good old-fashioned puppet show on the river in Marlow should while away those lazy summer afternoons.
The Flight of the Babuscha Baboon will be played from a barge boat at Higginson Park on the River Thames on Saturday (August 9).
The paid-for show will be played everyday, except Sundays, until August 30.
Fairies will be out in force at Waterstone's in Curzon Mall, Slough at 11am on Saturday.
Author Titania Woods who wrote the Glitterwings Academy books is visiting and children have been invited to dress as fairies to welcome her.
Flowers and vegetables will be among the attractions at Datchet Horticultural Show on Sunday.
It will be held at the village hall in Green Lane from 2-4.30pm.
Windsor Racecourse is hosting a family fun day on Sunday from noon.
Racing starts at 2.35pm and there will be free children's activities including bouncy castles, pony rides, a pet zoo and face painters.
