Chelsea star joins celebs riding into Cookham

4:30pm Fri 8th Aug 08:: written by Glenn Mitchell

England and Chelsea footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips will head an all-star gang of bikers when they roll into Cookham on Sunday.

The Premier League star is holding a sponsored motorcycle ride for children's charity Education for the Children.

The ride starts in London's famous Kings Road and is set to finish at the Inn on the Green hotel, Cookham Dean Common.

Last year's ride raised more than £20,000 for the charity, which builds schools and safe-houses for neglected children in Guatemala.

Shaun said: "As ambassador for the Education for the Children charity it's my duty to raise as much money as possible so the building work can continue."

He will be accompanied by his dad, Ian Wright, and several other footballers including Wayne Bridge, Steve Sidwell, and Nigel Reo-Coker. BBC TV presenter Nick Knowles, Charley Boorman and Jodie Marsh are also taking part.

The riders are expected to arrive at Inn on the Green at 1pm.

Our video team will be covering the event so log on next week for footage.
