Fatal crash in stolen Subaru

A man was killed when the stolen car he was driving smashed into a lamppost in Slough last night.

The driver was trapped in the Red Subaru after it crashed at about 11.20pm in Long Furlong Lane. He had to be cut out of the car by firefighters.
He was taken to Wexham Park Hospital and later died.

Another man was also travelling in the car and suffered minor injuries.

Police said the car was reported stolen from an address in Slough on July 12 and they are treating the incident as an 'aggravated vehicle taking'.

They have arrested the male passenger and taken him into police custody.

An inquest is due to be opened into the driver's death.
