Hunt for train station attackers

11:57am Fri 18th Jul 08:: written by Kelly Rawlings

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted outside High Wycombe Railway Station on Monday.

At about 9pm, a man had arrived at the station after spending a day in London and was walking along Amersham Hill when he was approached by three men who threw a drinks bottle at him and punched him in the head, causing him to fall backwards.

He was repeatedly kicked in the head before the group ran off.
The man was taken to Wycombe General Hospital where he was treated for concussion.

The first man is described as black, in his late teens with a shaved head and was wearing a bright yellow T-shirt.

The other two men were white and one was wearing a black shell suit with white banding around the bottom of the jacket and trousers.

The third man was wearing a white or beige T-shirt.

PC Jason Gregory, investigating the incident, said: “This appears to have been a completely unprovoked attack and I’m keen to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time who may have seen or heard something suspicious.”
