A fun fair, martial arts and dance demonstrations and stalls will be among the attractions at Chalvey Village Fete at Chalvey Recreation Ground in the High Street on Saturday from 1-4pm.

Children's author Forrester Mitchell will be reading his book, Penny Tales, in a special story time at the Nicholsons Centre,  Waterstones.
Super Saturday Story Time will run from 9.30am to midday. 

Morris dancers from Maidenhead will be dancing in Windsor on Saturday before crossing the Channel to France for a special performance at the end of the month. Taeppa’s Tump Morris dancers will be performing at the French Brothers boat hire company at the riverside at 11am, Windsor Rose Show at St George’s School between noon and 1pm, and at Windsor new station from 2-3pm. 

Award-winning BBC weather presenter Carol Kirkwood will open the Feline Fete in Holyport on Sunday.
The fete features all things feline including stalls, competitions, a bouncy castle and other entertainment. It has been organised by Cats Protection, a charity that raises money to save stray cats. The gates open at 12.30pm in Holyport Memorial Hall, Moneyrow Green.

An all star show will be found in Windsor at Legoland Live! Bob the Builder and Fireman Sam are just part of the line-up of live music in the children's show. More details at www.legoland.co.uk

A coffee morning is taking place at St Mark's Crescent Methodist Church with all the usual stalls from 10am. The event will be in aid of High St Methodist Church Restoration Fund.

The grand opening of the much-awaited Twyford skate park is taking place at the King George V Recreation Field.
The event will take place between 2-5pm, when there will be the ribbon cutting, skate-off competition, netball skills and a Reading Rockets senior men's team coaches.

There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2pm, followed by music and a skate-off organised by youngsters.

  • Romantic story of the emperor penguins contemporised. Throw in a few dancing nutters who think they are penguins and a major visual and sound fest and you got a winner! Best bit was spraying the crowd with water. Cant believe they did that! (And left the sprinklers on for a good 5 minutes - caused mayhem lol) But the real mayhem was yet to come as the whole place exploded in fire, fireworks, snow-paper , smoke and huge explosions. nice one all those involved! not boring like that french filmnick p
