Teen hurt in crash at notorious blackspot

2:28pm Wed 16th Jul 08:: written by Gareth McPherson

A teenager suffered head injuries after being in collision with a car at a notorious bend in the road in Pinkneys Green on Tuesday night.

The 19-year-old, who was thought to be out jogging, was taken to hospital after falling unconscious in Furze Platt Road following the 7.30pm crash, which also involved a silver Peugeot.

Police and ambulance flocked to the scene and cars were forced to turn around near the junction of Pinkneys Drive after the road was closed.

A spokesman for the South Central Ambulance Service said the teenager was taken to Wexham Park Hospital.

"He had regained conciousness by the time he reached hospital. He was sweaty and clammy and had gone through some trauma."

It was at the same road bend that claimed the life of 19-year-old LukeĀ Edgington, in a smash on June 1.
