Cars stolen after keys taken through letterbox

Thieves stole two cars from a home in Wooburn Green after stealing the keys through the letterbox using a tree branch.

A green Chrysler Grand Voyager and a blue/grey Mini Cooper were stolen from a Wooburn Mead driveway sometime between midnight and 7am yesterday.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the crime. The registration number for the Voyager is RO56 GVW and the Mini’s registration number is HY56 HLZ.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Caroline Timmis on 0845 8 505 505, or Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

• Offices are also urging people to not leave valuables in sight and to take keys out and away from doors  and windows, and anything else which could be used to gain entry.
