5:17pm Thu 15th May 08:: written by Claire Moulson

A teenage girl was left distressed after a man made advances towards her after she got into his car near Burnham railway station.

At about 10pm on Tuesday the young girl was waiting for a lift in Station Road, when she was approached by a man driving a white vehicle.

He asked her to get in, she agreed, and once inside the car he made advances towards her. The girl rejected him and got out of his car and he drove away.

Detectives are urging any witnesses to come forward. The man is Asian, in his twenties, slim, with light toned skin.

Det Con Dejan Avramovic, investigating the incident, said: “Although the girl was left unharmed, this was clearly a distressing incident for her, so I urge anyone with information to come forward as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information should call 0845 8 505 505, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
