Meet the new borough boss

7:33am Thu 8th May 08:: written by Sonia Kapur

A former police officer who worked the streets of Hong Kong has taken up the reins as the new chief executive for the Royal Borough.

Ian Trenholm was a member of the Royal Hong Kong Police for five years and worked with Surrey Police for four years.

Fresh from the Buckinghamshire County Council as strategic director for business transformation and customer services, the 41-year-old is looking forward to working in the borough.

He said: "Windsor and Maidenhead are beautiful parts of the world.
"My experience from the Buckinghamshire County Council will hopefully bring a lot to my new job, considering that Bucks is a neighbouring area to the borough and there are a lot of concerns which cross over, such as congestion."

Although Mr Trenholm admits that he does not know the area that well as of yet, he aims to spend a considerable amount of time with the elected members of the council and wants to speak to residents about the issues that concern them.
