Award for hospitals performance

A top accolade has been given to Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals for its performance for the third year running.

The foundation trust has been awarded a 'top 40 hospitals' status by independent regulator CHKS Ltd for its healthcare, based on evaluations in clinical effectiveness, health outcomes, efficiency, patient experience and quality of care.

Chief executive Colin Hayton said: "The CHKS Top Hospitals Award recognises and rewards some of the best practice and excellent work done in the NHS.

"We are delighted to have received the award for the third year running, which demonstrates the consistent hard work and commitment our staff have in delivering the best patient care possible."
