Gunmen raid Marlow jewellers

1:50pm Wed 7th May 08:: written by Kelly Rawlings

Gunmen raided a shop in Marlow in a terrifying jewellery heist on Saturday.

Buckingham Antiques in the High Street was targeted by robbers at about 2.20pm when the shopkeepers were threatened by two men with firearms.

The business owners claim the men got away with £250,000 worth of unique jewellery. Co-owner Hilary Buckingham said: "Buckingham Antiques will overcome this. We can’t let this filth put us out of business."

Police are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward. The two raiders escaped in an old-style green Volvo which was driven by a third man. They sped off in the direction of Marlow Bridge.

Witnesses are urged to contact DC Harriet Smith on 0845 8 505 505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
