School closures announced

The National Union of Teachers' strike is due to go ahead tomorrow in a 24-hour stand-off over pay.
Here is a provisional list of the schools that will be affected. Closed:

Furze Platt Junior
Furze Platt Infant
Courthouse Junior
Bisham Primary
Woodlands Park Primary
Trevelyan Middle School, Windsor
Homer First School, Windsor

Partially closed:

Newlands - open to sixth formers and GCSE students
Desborough - closed to years 7, 8 and 10
Cox Green - closed to years 7 and 8
Furze Platt Senior - closed to years 7, 8, and 10.
Altwood - closed to years 7, 8 and 9. 
Wraysbury Primary - call school for details

Wargrave

Piggott - closed to years 7, 8 and 10

Burnham

Burnham Grammar - closed to years 7 and 8

  • i attend altwood school and when the teachers went on strike i found it unfair that gcse students still had to go in...there are year9 students who have there sats in less than a week and they got to stay home and 'revise'...they would of benefited from going to school that day to...emma
