Members support York Stream project

9:12am Wed 23rd Apr 08:: written by Luke Cross

Support for the York Stream rejuvenation project was given a boost this week with the advent of a new partnership scheme.

Maidenhead Waterways Restoration Group has announced that Maidenhead Civic Society has become the group’s first corporate member.

The new class of membership is open to civic groups and also commercial companies that support the aims of the project, which could see a navigable route through the town centre.

Trustee Richard Davenport said: "We have had a representative of the civic society on our management committee for some time, but are delighted to formally welcome the society as our first corporate member."
