Here is a round-up of events going on in the area this weekend:

Friday

An exhibition entitled River Road Rail is being launched at Maidenhead Heritage Centre today.
In collaboration with the centre, Maidenhead Painting Club was inspired to display art work with a theme it thinks reflects the reasons for Maidenhead's existence as a town.
The exhibition runs until Sunday, April 11. Contact the Heritage Centre on 01628 780555 for details.

Saturday

A bric-a-brac will be on sale at a charity jumble sale in Cookham Dean Primary School.
The sale will be at the school in Bigfrith Lane from 2-4pm.
If anyone has any jumble to donate for the sale, the school will be open from 6-8pm the night before and between 10am-12pm on the morning of the sale.
Any unsold jumble will be donated to Kidney Research.

Datchet Brownies are holding a fete at Scout Hall, Green Lane, Datchet. Join in with the event from 11am to 3pm.

Families can have a got at a Grow Your Potato Event at Windsor Wyevale Garden Centre, Dedworth Road.
A children's competition is included and events run all day.

Join in a swashbuckling record attempt at Legoland.
Visitors are invited to come in pirate costume and help set a new world record for biggest gathering of pirates ever. Gather at 11.30am at the Windsor theme park.

Easter starts early at a Fun at 4 Event at St Mary's Church, London Road, Datchet.
Children aged four to 11 can take part in Easter events including an egg hunt at 4pm.

As part of Windsor Spring Festival, Kraft Werks are holding an event featuring arts, crafts, music and performance for children at Firestation Arts Centre, St Leonards Road, Windsor at 10.30am.

Enjoy a stroll in the Crown Estate - from Blacknest Gate along the Ribblesdale Circle track to Manor Hill through ancient woodland and the Five Arch Bridge starting at 10.30am.

Berkshire Maestros features the region's best young musicians at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle at 7.30pm.
Other music events include a Carmina Burana concert featuring music by Tchaikovsky, Borodin and Orff at School Hall, Eton College at 7.30pm.

Almost 5,000 rugby tackles will take place in The Nicholsons Centre at noon as part of a world-record attempt.
Players from Maidenhead RFC's under 16 team are planning to repeatedly plough into tackle bags as part of their bid to raise funds for a tour of South America in July
The team needs to complete in excess of 4,853 tackles in 60 minutes to break the existing Guinness World Record.
Also, in recognition of the club's summer destination, professional dancer Edward Tattersfield will be demonstrating several Argentinian tangos.
A percentage of funds from the event will also be donated towards Sport Relief.

Get your car washed or pick up other goodies at Flackwell Heath Girls' Brigade annual Spring Fair.
It is being held at Flackwell Heath Methodist Church, in Heath End Road, from 10am-noon.

Books, clothes and accessories can be picked up at a Good as New Sale held at St Mark's Church Hall, Station Road, Bourne End, between 10am-noon.

The English Mozart Ensemble will perform a Concert by Candlelight at All Saints Church in The Causeway, Marlow, at 7.30pm. Tickets 0870 243 0615.

Country and western singer Pedro will perform at Hedsor Social Club. Hedsor Road, Bourne End between 8-11.30pm.

A jumble sale at Cookham Dean School is taking place in Bigfrith Lane, Cookham Dean, from 2-4pm.

The Wycombe Swan Theatre is hosting an open day in St Mary Street, High Wycombe, from 10am.

The British Leisure Show is at Windsor Racecourse in Maidenhead Road, Windsor.

As part of Windsor Festival, there is a Hidden Windsor walk starting at the Tourist Information Centre, Windsor Royal Shopping at 11am, Stainer's The Crucifixion at Windsor Parish Church, High Street at 7pm.

Olympic gold medal winning rower Zac Purchase will be the guest of honour at the opening of Longridge Rowing Club near Marlow at 12.30pm. He will lead the first session of rowers for the day.

Staff at Sainsburys in Maidenhead have organised a special charity 'match and wax' to raise funds for Sports Relief.
Employees will take part in a charity football match against Maidenhead United at 7.30pm at York Road.

Ascot Farmers' Market will be held in car park 3 in Ascot High Street from 9.30am-1pm.

A selection of organic meat and vegetables are available at Marlow Farmers Market, in Dean Street car park from 10am-2pm.

Search for bargains at a car boot sale beign held at Great Marlow School, Bobmore Lane, Marlow from 9am-noon.

Runners and cyclists will compete in the Marlow Duathlon 2010 held at Marlow Sports Club, Pound Lane from 9am.

A 'Making Science Fun' session will be held at Black Park Country Park in Wexham, Slough, from 10am-2pm.

Run a Sports Relief Mile in Braywick Park, Braywick Road, Maidenhead, from 12.30-4.30pm.

Walk on location at Burnham Beeches in an afternoon stroll for two hours.
See where scenes for Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows were shot and visit many other famous locations.
