Here is a round-up of photos from just some of the events in the area:

1. A celebrity chef cut the cake to celebrate the fifth birthday of the Windsor farmers' market on Saturday.
Antony Worrall Thompson, who owns the Windsor Grill and Windsor Larder in St Leonard's Road, was on hand to launch the milestone party for event, which rescued the town from a market black-out.
It has been selling local produce from honey to meat for the past five years.

2. A window on the past is set to open after plans to reinstate a museum were shown off in Windsor on Saturday.
The borough's museum collection has been hidden away for years but the Guildhall is to house an array of local artefacts, treasures and everyday objects from yesteryear.
It will open 60 years after it was last open at the High Street venue.

3. Walkers braved the chills to tour the Windsor countryside in memory of a popular Eton lady who died last year.
Widower Gordon Shurley lost his wife Phyllis to Parkinsons Disease before they got the chance to celebrate their diamond wedding anniversary.
Thirty friends, family and well-wishers gathered for the walk on Saturday, which celebrated her life and raised money for Parkinsons Disease Society.

4. Green converts vowed to stamp out their wasteful ways in Windsor on Saturday.
Supermarket shoppers were told that they could save hundreds of pounds on their annual energy bills by local eco-campaigner Peter Archibald.
The scout leader, who lives in Windsor, has reduced his family's carbon footprint by 40 per cent and was camped up in Waitrose in King Edward Court to help others head in the same direction.

5. A couple were given just an hour's notice before a television production team raided their house for booty to sell for charity.
Slough councillor Derek Cryer and his wife Eleanor were put forward for the BBC Trash to Cash programme, which sees householders' under-used treasures flogged for a good cause.
After the BBC crew turned over their Langley home the couple invited their friends and family to their garden for the sale - which raised £688.
