Burglars force way into home after man answers door

12:33pm Tue 9th Feb 10:: written by Nick Mayo

A 50-inch flat screen television was stolen during a burglary in Slough.

At 6.35pm on Sunday, two men with their faces covered knocked at a front door in Stratfield Road before forcing their way in as soon as it was opened.

Once inside, they verbally threatened the occupant, a man in his 40s, before making off with a number of high value electrical items, including the television.

Det Con Will Tippetts, the investigating officer, said: "Someone must have seen the men carrying this very large television, which I am assuming was taken to a nearby vehicle or location."

The victim was not injured but was left very shaken.

Anyone with information can contact Det Con Tippetts on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
